Cardiff Girl Geek Dinner & 2nd Birthday Party

Designing Brand Logos 
Our special guest speaker, Creative Designer, Illustrator, Influencer, Trend Advisor, Art & Company Director and Vice Chair of Caerphilly Business Forum, Michelle Rose-Innes will be asking:

Why do we have brand logo, or a brand mark, how can it define who you are? Does it fit you and your company? How flexible does it need to be? What is the process for creating a brand and logo? Why does everyone talk about re-branding? 

Along with talking about the factors that help to create a successful brand logo including:
• The size, fonts, graphics, format and scalability
• Colour schemes and trends 
• Effective brand logos for web and print. 
• Market place trends and the importance of context
• Your logo and brand guidelines
• The future for your brand logo

Michelle has been designing for eighteen years with various agencies across the world. In 2005 she launched the company Rose-Innes Designs, a small design agency with large clients and interesting projects! Over the last 7 years Michelle has built a solid client base ranging from the top UK supermarkets; Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsburys, to SME’s, publishers and public sector businesses. 

Michelle is passionate about effective design. Her high standards and keen eye for typography and layout keep the studio on its toes. She holds workshops on the subjects of brand design, service design and marketing. Often she consults with larger brands on trends and creative direction. She has gained a sound business acumen through effective design projects with hundreds of companies. 

Interesting points...
Whilst designing in a London agency, Michelle concepted the Frankie & Benny’s restaurant brand and was involved with the creative direction of Chiquitos and Caffé Uno. 

Rose-Innes Designs won The Caerphilly Business of the Year in 2007 and since then Michelle has been an active member of Caerphilly Business Forum. She is passionate for the growth and development of business in the area and has held the Vice Chair role for two years.

Michelle’s design ranges on tableware for Asda, led to Rose-Innes Designs being on the Top Liked supplier list for 2009.

Rose-Innes Designs has recently been selected to be a member of ‘THE 90’. These are companies selected to deliver service design in Wales on the recommendation of Design Wales. 

Michelle is a keen walker, and in 2012 she completed three summits during a Himalayan Trek with Welsh Women Walking. In June this year she is organising a team to walk the Three Peaks in aid of St David’s Foundation.
